Content Writing
I write for B2B SaaS companies. My standard (800-1,200 words) blog post rate is $950. Ebooks, white papers, case studies, and guides range from $1,200-$3,500. I’ve been charging those rates for the last 18 months and haven’t had many tell me “I’m too expensive” (which probably means I could’ve charged more)
B2B SaaS Bootstrapped Founder Content Strategy Consultations
These are one month engagements where I advise bootstrapped founders on how to start planning a content strategy. They always walk away with something tangible; a guide, home page copy, 12 week content strategy. -$1,540/mo
(But this is going up, I’ve had numerous people say to increase this rate because of how much these clients are getting, and I’ve come to realize they’re right! In fact, April Dunford told me to double the rate today, so I think I’m going to give that a try)
Content Strategy
For B2B SaaS clients, I create and help execute on a 12 week content strategy. This includes content calendar, writer’s briefs, content upgrades, keyword research etc. So far, each of these are custom contracts to meet the needs of the client. Sometimes I’m playing the part of a Content Manager, and sometimes I’m coming in as a Content Lead, and other times, I’m really doing advising and consulting. The range for this is- $115/hr - $6,500/mo
Customer Development
For startups and B2B SaaS companies’ marketing director or CEO that wants to stay in touch with their customers, but doesn’t have the time. This offer is a smaller version of my buyer persona offering. It’s 3 interviews with tactical takeaways sent to your inbox each week. -$2,325/mo
Buyer Personas
